A Message From the President

It is with immense pride and joy that we uphold the legacy of our esteemed organization founded nearly 77 years ago. Our members dedicate thousands of volunteer hours each year, in addition to being pillars of strength and charity in their homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, and broader communities.
Our League projects and members have been pivotal to the founding of several remarkable programs in Johnson City, including Hands On! Museum, Watauga Mental Health Center, Children’s Advocacy Center, Johnson’s Depot Playground, the Caring Cabinet Network with the Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians, and Safe House.
Our mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. We are continually challenging ourselves to innovate and find new ways to fulfill this mission.
I invite you to think about your WHY, and get involved with the Junior League of Johnson City.
There are many ways you can be involved. Here are a few:
- Join as a member! We are always looking for women who are passionate about their community and their personal development to become JLJC members.
- Donate! By supporting the JLJC, you enable our programming to create a larger impact on our community.
- Partner with us! We are always looking for different ways we can impact our community and we love working with our partners. If you have an opportunity for the JLJC, please let us know.
The Junior League needs you and the community needs us. Whether you choose to make a donation, sponsor our projects and programs, become a community partner, or join our membership, your support of our mission will ensure that we continue to deepen our impact and transform our volunteers into civic leaders.
Thank you all for your steady dedication and commitment to our mission. Here’s to a year of exploration, innovation, and transformation. Let’s make it count!
Sincerely,
Jamie Fink
2024 – 2025 JLJC President
