2023 – 2026 Signature Project

The Junior League of Johnson City has selected Frontier Health SAFE House to be the recipient of the 2023 – 2026 Signature Project. SAFE House offers a safe, confidential, and temporary shelter for victims of domestic violence and their dependent children. SAFE House has provided services on average to 200 victims a year since opening.

In conjunction with Frontier Health, the JLJC will help provide funding and support to build a playground and provide seating areas for families to enjoy while staying at the shelter. If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, you have choices. To discuss those choices, call 844-578-SAFE (7233). You can find out what project we are currently working for Frontier Health Safe House here.

2020 – 2023 Signature Project

The Junior League of Johnson City collaborated with the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachian Unit #608 to help build Caring Cabinets throughout Johnson City. These cabinets provide essential household supplies to disadvantaged families, particularly women and children. With the support of local volunteers, we created a network of Caring Cabinets across our community to provide free essential household supplies, including feminine hygiene products. Our community needs us now more than ever. Today in Washington County, TN, 43% of households struggle to make ends meet. Our neighbors face unprecedented challenges in getting essential household supplies, including cleaning and feminine hygiene products.
